Do look at reviews of the cameras you are considering. Almost all of the few point and shoots that have the 28 or so mm widest angle have "issues" with blurring at the corners. This in turn also reduces the advantages of more megapixels

Hi
1. Advice: There are few P&S with 28mmm lens so rest is up to you. Price and design will determine choice.
2. You are very strange amateur with lot of pro questions. What is the catch?
Hi

what a curious question ! Not sure how to answer this but i will try.

Having for yearsrefused to get involved in the digital revolution I have finally given in,and have recently given myself a crash course on the matter by searching the net. for information. So non of my questions are based on experience

Very dissapointed and confused at the sensor size jump between pro and p&s and the apparant limitations imposed by the smaller sensors

It has quite surprised me how much more invloved it all is in comparison to film, andhow much more time consuming it can be.
