It depends what I'm shooting.

For gatherings of family and friends, I'll shoot maybe 20-50. (I want to capture the fun, but I want to participate in the fun too.)

For sports, I'll shoot 300-2000. (Using burst mode, so I can catch as much as possible.)

For days when I'm experimenting or exploring, maybe 100-500.

For most days though, 0. (Unfortunately.)

On days that I can get out and shoot, anywhere between 36, 72, 108,144 or 180 shots. You'll notice that I'm still stuck in a mental film format, everything photo shoot I do always seems to come out in multiples of 36, same as a roll of film.

I know what you mean. I still have trouble realizing that I can change the film speed in the middle of a 'roll'.

When i'm not doing anything important, just random stuff i'll shoot maybe 10-30 a day. If i'm doing anything then most definetly 3000+, mind you HALF of those don't actually make it to the computer, I plug in the TV cable, and check them out on tv, ones I don't like much get chucked.
