Default Ulead GIF animator

Dennis,
Ulead has a product that does just that. It will let you bring in AVIs or MPEGs and it will extract the frames, and you can save as an animated GIF. Since your AVI input will be 30 Frames Per Second, you can delete out some of the frames (to save space).

Versions of the GIF Animator are frequently included with other products. Here is the Web site:

Default Most are "free" to try.

Dennis,
Most of the ones I could find allow trial periods before purchase (including Ulead).

I only could google up 1 freeware:

Pic2Ani -- The first one on the list, but I have never see it in action.

Here is another freeware/shareware searcher, but all seem to be free trial / please pay. Some may be "voluntary" pay. I always do if I keep the product. Got to keep the flow of good software going!!!

Jody, thanx!!! i'll have to look into them. the reason i was asking about the avi to gif is that at fotopic.net they allow gif files but not mpg or avi files. plus, movies take up so much more space than stills. thanx again!!!
