This has probably been discussed countless times but I can't find the info...

I need to update the firmware for my olympus sp-350 camera but I can't locate the computer cable for this camera. Can the download/update be done with a media card and reader?

Does anyone have detailed instructions?

Thanks for contributing to a wonderful website!

no it cannot be done via card or card reader, you will have to buy a cable, here in uk they are about £1 or $2 in american money

there are a couple to choose from, both my olympus cams have different cable

updating firmware is straight forward from the olympus website, i did my e300

there is only 1 update from december 2006 for that camera

a previous update mentioned amendment to battery indicator with rechargables.

if your getting a real short battery life then it may be time for a new battery or batteries............ if your using nicad pop them in the bin ad get some ni-mh ones with more milli amps............thats type of cam eats batteries
