Default Trade G2 for what? Help

I am unable to see The G2 monitor in bright light anymore and want to get another camera. I have an FZ1 which I love but it has limitations. Money being a factor, my primary concerns are for a GOOD optical VF, or EVF, 4 pixels is plenty, small camera handiest. Any help will be appreciated. I' would call myself a good amateur. I take mostly nature, especially macros.

All the camera's have a limitation on light. You can get a cover for the camera or use the optical viewfinder. Why are you using the screen anyway? The only thing you need it for is for macro.

The viewfinder only shows about 84 % of the subject. Using the lcd for macros is just what I am trying to avoid. I can't tell when the macro is in focus .

Unfortunately for macro you need TTL (Through The Lens). There is a gadget for cameras with optical viewfinders so you can use them in daylight:
