I am building a new desktop and want to put in the fastest DVD Dual layer drive that are very stable for the machine. What do you people recommend. I want something fast but also very stable (few coasters if you know what I mean). I tend to burn a lot of photos to DVD and Dual layer DVDs on a every other day basis.

If it matters the computer will have a 3.2GHz Duo Core Processor with 4GB ram and a 750GB hard drive.

Thanks

dave

Nowadays, it's hard to find a DVD drive that isn't 'Dual Layer'.

My preference for products in this category has always been for Plextor. I think you should take a look at their PX-810SA DVD Super Multi Drive.

Failing that, I also like Teac and Toshiba.
