Default inexpensive camera for time lapse photography

I want to find an inexpensive, 1 - 2 megapixel camera
to do time lapse photography.
Set it on a tripod, in a field, leave it a few hours kinda stuff.
Here are some parameters.

- Compact flash preferred
- Socket for tripod needed.
- AA battery powered
- Not computer/connected controlled...

Any older Cannon, or Kodaks that will do this?
I have a Nikon 950 that has around 1,500 shots on the odometer. But no time lapse buttons.

Thanks! [email protected]

With digitals (they have to have a different name for it) they call it 'intervalometer', do a search for that term here...some Canons and Minoltas have it.

For the 950 there's the harbortronics DigiSnap!

The Minolta D5 and D7/i/Hi all have this function, is AA powered, and also CF/Microdrive compatible! It's is of course tripod mountable and there's no need for any PC connection! The camera goes to sleep between intervals so as to economize on the battery consumption as well.

Some of the Epson PhotoPC cameras models have this feature.

I know for sure that the 2MP PhotoPC 850z and 3MP PhotoPC 3000z have this feature. I'm not sure about the older (less than 2MP) models.

You may be able to pick up a used Epson PhotoPC 850z on Ebay.

It allows you to adjust the shooting interval between photos from 20 seconds to 24 hours.

There are two of them on Ebay now:
