What will you be using the camera for? What type of pictures are you going to take? We need a little more information. Define cheap in dollar amounts.

Do you want to be able to produce 5x7s or 8x10s? Just small pics? Will you be doing any printing? Does it need to fit into a pocket or does that not matter?

You can't just throw a question out like that and expect us to find the perfect camera for you. You have to decide what you want in a camera and what you want to use it for.

It's like asking, "i want to buy a car which will be my first. I want something good, but cheap"...do you want a two seater, 4 door, wagon, minivan?

Fry's Electronics has something in the ad which sells for $59. It's cheap! It's good -- It takes color pics of recognizable objects. You can edit the pics and make them look better than they really are. What more could you want?

I have -- 80,000 yen (works out to around 719.229 USD
at current conversion rates)

It's the "Ferrari DIGITAL MODEL 2003" from Olympus Japan.

Sorry -- I just couldn't resist responding to that question, even though it wasn't directed at me.

You can get a $50 JamCam, but the quality is, well...it isn't too bad in the daytime but forget about night or indoor (even with its built-in flash).
