No clue on how to erase if camera won't power up, except 220V maybe.

Tech,

I'm no expert, but I don't think you can delete the internal memory without power. If you're that concerned about someone getting their hands on your family pics, then smash the unitinto a million pieces, hit it with a blowtorch, then sprinkle the remaining debris into the deepest section of the nearest ocean to you. I don't think the $5 you might get for a non-functioning, 3 1/2 year old P&S is worth losing sleep over what someone might do with your personal information. It also won't help buy you that DSLR...sorry...

Lol, good point, just seems like so much money to throw away (I did spend a lot on it :-)).

Oh well, I'll have a look around for a advance digi cam (non-SLR though).
