What size does the photo have to be? No matter how small I make one, it says that it's to big. I know it says 160000 bytes , but what size is that?

Thanks

You can right-click on any image to get the properties for it.

My avatar, for instance, is 180x120 and 8930 bytes. surfnron
has an avatar that is 200x159 and 15244 bytes.

It can't be any larger than 200x200 and/or 16000 bytes. You can make an avatar that is 200x200 but a photo that size will likely be larger than 16000 bytes. You can turn up the JPEG compression of the image to decrease the file size, but that will decrease the detail.
