Hi, years ago Steve had an article up explaining how, in the end, it doesn't really matter SO much what camera you buy....noting that some of the most beautiful photos ever taken were on totally crap cameras by today's standards.

It was a classic article....but I can't find it now. Help?

That doesn't "ring any bells" (the article, not the concept).

It's not exactly a rare theme among photographers...I guess everyone's written about the issue once or twice. But this one was definitely by Steve, and was particularly eloquent (I guess because it was written to serve as balance for thirty gazillion niggling camera reviews!).
