The easiest answer is to remove the mirror from the equation. Cover it up - then use flash. Here a very cheap king-size sheet works as a backdrop:

Great idea that would most defidently slove the issues I am worried about. Also great photo example.

Just wanted to send an update - the shooting went off perfectly. Thanks for all the info you were able to provide.

I was not able to use a bes sheet becuase the walls were 30 feet long and they would not allow me to tape anything to the mirrors (even though I offered to clean the tape off and the mirros afterwards)and the mirrors were floor to cieling so I could not tape it from above. This was from both owner and dancer.

I found that shooting directly into the mirror made too much reflection etc so half way through I changed prosition and shot diaginal towards the corner where the two miorrors/walls with her eyes facing me...... Then I moved her about 4 or 5feet up one wall (walls were 30 feet long)still shooting on an angle to the wall and those were the money shots. I found using protait mode gave me the best images when I stood about 4 feet from her legs.

Thanks again for all the help and suggestions offered to my post here.

I'm glad to hear it went well.

Do you have any samples you can share?
