hi there, new to the site (GREAT site!) and need help please.

i have a Canon Rebel G SLR camera from a number of years back, circa 1997-98, and want to buy a new digital SLR. i'm looking at the Canon Rebel XS (the one that comes with the 18-55 lens).

i have35-80 and 75-300 lenses for my Rebel G - will these work on the Digital Rebel XS?

i also have a Vivitar flash (728AFC)for my Rebel G - will this work on top of the Digital Rebel XS?

thanks!

All EOS lenses will work on Canon DSLRs.

honzr
most eos ef mount lenses will work on your XS
however the XS lens may not fit on the film camera because i think the kit 18-55 lens is an EFS mount
look at the dots
the EFS has a white square to line up the lens with the cavity
the EF lenses have a red dot
dont force the lenses in
good luck
