When you make change to a file, would it also change your mirror copy? For example, if you do "rotate" function under Windows explorer, which can happen with a slip of a finger, some important EXIF info will be lost without a warning.

If you have automatic parallel backup system, wouldn't it automatically sync the mistake you made too?

Yes. A RAID System protects you from a failed hard disk drive. It does not protect you from mistakes. That's what backups are for.
