will a Minolta Maxxum 2800 flash work on my olympus E-10 ? please help me out guys.

In a word, no.

There may be some workarounds which will allow them to be used together, but you would lose the automatic exposure features. Best bet is to go with a compatible flash. The Oly units, of course, will work seamlessly, but there are also flashes from 3rd parties which are as good or better.

but would it be safe to use on my camera ? i could get it for free, i dont mind about losing the focusing or exposure, i just dont wanna fry my camera or something and also, would it fire ?

Most camera hotshoes use a center pin to fire the flash. Minolta autofocus models don't, so you would not be able to use the flash. Makes me long for the old days when there was just one contact to trigger the flash, and everything would work with everything else.
