Default 64mb smart media card error in camera

anyone know of any software to format the cards? i cannot format/read the cards in the camera?

i got total of 6 cards....3 of them have the card error in the camera...they are either sandisk or olympus...btw...its a olympus 300z digicam...thanks

Assuming you have a card reader:

One of the most common problems with cards is removing them (from a reader) while the card is still being accessed...I always select Eject from the computer first.

Another problem, using the computer to Erase/Move files...use the copy command, and then use the camera's erase or format commands.

Never lost a picture or a card.

The only reader that I remember that came with a format utility is the Zio reader. It comes with a program called smprep.

Many do come with a version of SMPrep designed for the reader. My Belkin SM certainly did (I modified it to alter the cards so they were panoramic enabled), and on the link I gave is some SMPrep programs for certain readers.
