Any recommendations on a good free one that supports hot links and a large amount of storage?

You may want to browse through the threads in our Photo-sharing Site Links Forum for more choices.

Personally, I use http://www.pbase.com. But, it's not a free service. You'll see their pricing page here:

I personally use http://photobucket.com/ with much success, and it is free. Not sure on the amount of storage you get, but I have a ton of mid-sized photos (800 - 1200 pixel wide) on mine.

Have you checked with your ISP? Often photo space and/or web space is provided as part of your deal - or is available at minimal extra cost.
