Default LCD SCREEN. Should you be able to see lots of little dots?

I have just bought a new camera and was wondering if the LCD monitor should be "dotty". It is hard to explain but basically when using the LCD to look back at photos taken, i is very clear and sharp, but when using LCD monitor to view picture that is going to be taken, the things in the picture are clear but you can see lots of little dots that make up the picture (It is not as clear and my computer monitor for example).

I think this is normal but would just like reassurance! My Camera is a Canon S330. Many Thanks[/b]

This is probably because the camera is using less resolution to display the live image on the LCD screen than it does when displaying the picture already taken.

The tiny LCD screen will NEVER get even close to your computer screen that is hundreds of times bigger.
