Default Kodak Z8612IS

Hellowz people,

As the title suggests, this is about a Kodak Z 8612 IS. I purchased one yesterday. All good, however there is something i must ask about. So, i have the camera turned on and i move it around (left-right/up-down, does not matter). While i move it there is a vibrating sound and feeling (not very pronounced, however it is felt) in it. Please tell me, is this normal for this model, is it because of the lens shift, or is there something wrong with mine?

I would appreciate prompt reactions/suggestions/thoughts , as i have 24 hours more to return it in case i find a flaw in it .

Many thanks!

There's nothing wrong with it; it's trying continuously to autofocus, which is the default setting. Go to the menu system, and set it to "Autofocus SINGLE". It will then try to autofocus only when you half press the shutter release button.

It's a very good and fully-featured camera, apart from its lack of the excellent eye-level electronic viewfinder (EVF) on the other models in that range.

I recommend that you carefully read right through the full manual ('extended user guide'), which you will find at...

This would be better discussed in the "Kodak" forum at
