Default recharging digital batteries while traveling

I just bought a panasonic lumix cam to take with me to Africa. I wanted to make sure that it was safe to recharge the batteries if I connect it to a travel voltage converter. Africa uses different voltage than US, but I bought a converter. I've charged other things but never a camera battery. I'm hoping its safe to do.

Generally, any Panasonic battery charger I've EVER seen is multivoltage, 100-240V AC. You don't NEED a voltage converter!!! (Maybe just a AC pin converter)
