Resize using IrfanView and upload directly from your HD.

If you are using an editor that retains the EXIF, then your host (imageshack) is probably stripping out the EXIF metadata. If you want users to see it, either use a host that doesn't strip it out, or attach an image to a post here directly from your hard drive using the button you'll see when making a post.

P.S.

Note this FAQ in the concerns section on their site:

"Does ImageShack alter, compress, or watermark my files in any way?"

http://reg.imageshack.us/content.php?page=faq

See the second paragraph of the answer:

"...However, ImageShack will strip out non-image data from your image files, if such data exists."

Ordo,

You didn't follow my instructions, did you?

[Resize using IrfanView and upload directly from your HD.]

I didn't think so...

So, "Nope. It doesn't work." is not really a true statement...whatever you did didn't work. Probably the same thing you did when you posted that pic in the Animal and Pet Photo Forum. What I suggested works...every time...

Lets be nice.

That could have been interpreted as uploading from his hard drive to the host he was already using (imageshack) versus uploading to the forums using the attachments feature here. ;-)

That's why I pointed out the button to use for attaching an image from a local drive. It's going to be a button that looks like or , depending on the forum theme you use.

Not all members realize that some hosts strip out metadata from images, and not all members know that they can upload an image to the forums, where it is stored on our servers versus a host's servers elsewhere.
