"This fear of photography is a reltively new phenomonon. Basically didn't exist when I was a kid."

Can't agree with you on this statement, being that we are about the same age, I remember the old days differently. People may have seem less concerned about pictures being taken but that was because it was consider ill-mannered to take a picture without permission. Which means in the case of OP, he wouldn't have taken the picture. Therefore no concern on the part of the farther in the car.

If photographers are on the front line to educate the public and relive their fear of photographers. Then it is up to us to take the first step and show that extra curiosity to the general public.

Does anybody else think this is turning into hysteria about hysteria?

I think every one should look at what some think they can do while in the position of law, military, undercover, or technical. We all know what is but we all don't choose to lean into the ill effects of reasons though we give our thoughts on them then they grow into a bigger issue which will have a great impact on all issues...Its getting to look like wow what can I do? and then dare I do?... as well.. and with some younger generations thinking they are smarter if we don't show them that we do know of such issues that they think they are smarter for knowing as well....

Err, what's extreme about what I posted? Our society sexualising little kids, or adults ignoring kids in trouble?

My father never asked permission to take a photograph, and I never asked permission to take a photograph. In fact, I don't know of anyone asking permission up until the late seventies, early eighties.

Heh, heh, he....

Well, I haven't posted links to articles blaming femminists for the pedophile scare, nor have I posted links to sites which say that "The Jews" are responsible for BOTH pedophiles AND pedophile hysteria...

There's nothing hysterical about posting that in England, which is several years "ahead" of us, the proportion of men taking up teaching has dropped like a stone. I'm reporting the hysteria, not creating it...

Nor does one have to go very far to find adults who now want nothing to do with children. And when we have responsible persons, presumably mature and rational, indicting little girls as propagating kiddie porn, because they text messaged a picture of themselves; Would you call me being hysterical or the DA being hysterical?

It's one thing for me to rant and rave about this question, it's another story when responsible political leaders do.

The only post you've made to this thread says you're not sure you want to make a post to this thread.
