Default Home stretch to purchasing a digital camera

Well after much research my brain is a bowl of pudding. I "think" Im ready to make the splurge this Wednesday. If anyone has any reason why I shouldn't buy a Canon A70 or the more likely choice the Canon A80 please feel free to inform me. Especially if I can get a similar camera with as good or better features/picture quality for a cheaper amount. I will be buying at Best Buy since they currently have a 0% special for 18 months and I also have $50 in gift certificates.

Thanks

Sammy

Unless you plan on printing large prints above 8X10, then the A70 could be a good camera for you.

Canon A70 is a good camera and with many many options. A friend of mine bought one now few weeks, and I wanna ask you which one of those photos do you think is the best. I see that my photo has more contrast (bouth cameras ware set on auto mode)
Left is with my Olympus C3020Z and right is with A70

I saw more canon photos and almoust all are more lighten and have not that much contrast like my olympus.

I read on almoust all forums that the canon A70 is a very good camera and I think is the highest rated for 3MP cameras..... but why that pic is so lighten.. I sincerly tell you I like more my picture even if my camera doesn't have that many options like the A70.

On A70 I don't like the design, after playng with C3020 more than an year It seems like the A70 doesn't fit in my hand, it's not confotable like C3020

anyway I think you should buy it

maibe someone will tell me some toughts about the photo .

see ya all

Metering Differences. The A70 (with the metering type selected) was simply using a brighter exposure (wider aperture and/or slower shutter speed) for the same lighting conditions.

Default check this

Hi,
I would strongly suggest Nikon 3100...
Comes with charger for batteries.. but downside is since it is powered by only 2 batteries.. it may run out of power faster than the A 70.. but I personally feel that the image quality is a little better than a 70...
If you want to fit lenses.. A 70 is the sure thing...

I am no expert.. but going to buy a 3.1 MP myself... You should check out Olympus.. I have seen good quality images from Olympus..

Use this link to compare images by different cameras... Hope it helps...

Nice if you can post what u bought.. and what was the driving factor...
