Gee, every time I type realisation here, it gets flagged as a misspelled word...must be an American web site...

Try a dictionary...

Or try typing it into Google; you'll get 32 million hits...

If you had read a few of those 32 million hits, you might have come across a few useful links that would be helpful to you. Like these:

http://www.spellzone.com/index.cfm

http://www.all-about-spelling.com/sp...6th-grade.html

http://www.spelling.hemscott.net/diffusuk.html

Try typing it into MS Word, WordPerfect, or your favorite email program...those little red dots under the word are trying to tell you something...

I've been thinking about it, and this really didn't end up going where I hoped. It was only a bit of my curiosity about the spelling of one word which is very linked to this forum and it seems that some members have taken it a bit far. Hopefully that will be dropped now and if there is anything else of interest that someone has then it would be good to hear.

Almost.

It seems that Rinnie is never, ever wrong, and since the more common spelling is done with a "z" then it's safe to say that other versions of the word do not exist.

realisation - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

realisation - definition of realisation by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

Dictionary Information: Definition Realization - Description Meaning Thesaurus

Definition of realisation - WordReference.com Dictionary

And he's right, all of the above are from Hippie or Islamic Terrorist sites...

This is my last reply - No sense in arguing with someone who is always right - My bad...

My spelling is pretty good, but I make a lot of typos, may Dog forgive me.
