Default Canon EOS Rebel XS - Date Imprint on photo?

I finally did purchase a Canon Rebel XS - and think I'm going to really like it!

One question, however, is it possible to set the camera to imprint the date on photos?? I cannot seem to find any info on that; perhaps it isn't possible.

Thanks!

i have recently seen a few programs that will add the date from the EXIF data to the photo before printing.

http://www.ketara.ca/print-dates-on-photos.html

found this one with a quick search, there may be other options out there.

Thanks. I might have to look into that further.

Upon first glance, it appears that program will imprint the date on PRINTED photos, but maybe NOT on the image that is stored on the computer.

Many thanks.

that may be true, there is a demo to try out and see for sure.

if it doesn't work out, someone has had this problem before and written up some program to do what you want.

My photo editor, Photoimpact 10, has this function, though I have never used it. Not sure if it has carried over to the newest version (13), since it is no longer by Ulead - another company has taken over the software.
