Default Something new to drool over(add item to Christmas wishlist).

Did not see a forum for digital backs so I'll post it here

The Leaf Valeo 22 22 megapixel 16bit/channel back.
Just don't ask the price amplis distributor said it should come in at around 43000$cdn, then you need the camera body to attach it to.

Hum Christmas is comming maybe I can drop some hints

You don't want to use a product this new, before it's thoroughly tested first.

I'll be glad to offer a free quality control test of this new product. When you purchase it, let me know, and I'll send you my mailing address so you can ship it to me for testing.

My test will be very thorough, and make take a few years to complete.

P.S. -- Make sure to ship the camera you select for use with this camera back, too (so I can test the camera/camera back combination together).

Hay I never thought of that, I can offer myself as a product tester

I went to try to find what the normal cameras are shooting at,
I'm fairly sure the P&S were running at 12bits/channel, not sure what the dslr's are at now.
But looking over the manfacturers specs for a few brands I see they all say their megapix size but none seem to list the bits/channel.

Yes - I've already figured out what I want to be when I "grow up".

I'll want a series of part time jobs:

1. Taster (fine Wine) -- They can send me bottles of their best vintages, and I'll send back my comments.

2. Tester for Electronics Manufacturers (send me the latest gadgets, cameras, plasma displays, etc.) for testing.

3. Tester For Automobile Manufacturers (send me new cars periodically, and I'll write back with comments on handling, acceleration, ride quality, etc.).

4. Restaurant Reviewer - I'll eat in the nicest restaurants, while commenting on the food and service.

5. Travel Magazine Article Writer -- Fly me to the nicest resorts, and I'll write articles on my experiences.

6. Visa Card Acceptance Tester - You've all seen the commercials: "Better bring you Visa, because John's Seafood Restaurant doesn't take American Express". Well, I could think of lots of interesting things to buy with a Visa Card, that would make for good advertising. Just give me a card with no limit, and I'll write back with interesting purchases that can be used in advertisements.

7. Mattress Tester -- After all, why waste an income opportunity? Send me the latest mattresses, and I'll let you know how well I sleep on them. I've got many years of experience in this area, so I should be paid for it.
