Default Cleaning a sensor

I was looking at one of my shots and I noticed a spot. I am pretty sure its on the sensor... as it showed up on pics with different lenses.

What is the best way to clean and not damage. Its on a KX camera.

It is interesting that this has happened twice.. But with 2 different cameras (bit were KXs tho..) and dust shaker doesn't 'shake' it off..

It only work for the fine dust, get a Giottos rocket blower, no compress air. It should do the trick with couple of blast.

just blowing it is all I need to do?

Is this a common thing to have happen?

If you switch lenses allot, it will happen. But 90% of the time if it is just dust, the rocket blower is all you need. If it is really bad, there are sensor clearer with clean swabs. But I would try the blower first.
