Default Sony or Panasonic - Better Stabilization Technology?

I am wondering with brand has the better 'anti-shake' technology?

I am specifically thinking about the Sony HX5 and Pan ZS5

not sure, but sony really makes a great IS system for their camcorders. But I have to say that panasonic makes a heck of a good IS system for the G lenses. But I really think it is a splitting hair question.

Honestly there are more important things to consider when choosing a camera than the IS system. Both offer good results and the normal shooter would expect to see a couple of stops gained in hand holding ability.f

Not saying it's right or wrong, but what is this based on?
