Default LCD screen protector question

I made it into a Best Buy today looking for a screen protector for my LCD on my new Kx. They had none in the store, but I did find some phone protector screens -- Invisible Shield made by ZAGG -- on clearance and I picked up a couple to cut to size.

When I get home, I find that these come with a sponge and application solution that is applied to the clear protector before applying to the screen of the phone.

Is this product the same as the screen protectors sold for camera LCD screens?

Yes. They are excellent. I've put one on almost everything I have with an LCD.

Yeah I'm firm beleiver in ZAGG invisible shields. I got one a long time ago for my iPod, and since then my cell phone, my camera LCD screen and even my laptop are covered. They have a lifetime warranty on their shield products, so if a shield gets scratched up somehow, they will replace it.

The drawback, as you know is that they use a "wet application" method to get the film on your device, but with some patience and skill you can do it, and it actually results in a much better-looking and longer-lasting application than the "dry" method.

I tried the "dry" method and found it impossible to do. Unless you live in a hermetically sealed room and are dust and dandruff free yourself putting on the sticky patch without getting 'something' between the patch and the screen is next to impossible resulting in a lousy looking screen. I havent used anything on my lcd and if you're somewhat careful I see no need for a cover. But this "wet" application does sound interesting because that would eliminate the static charge of the 'dry' ones.
