OK, so this inspired me, I write a few songs so decided that we needed a new version of We've Only Just Begun from the Carpenters.....

We've only just begun to shoot,
White balance and apertures
A kiss from Canon and we're on our way.
And yes, We've just begun.

Before the CCD was film,
So many brands to choose
We start our shooting and learn to frame.
And yes, We've just begun.

Sharing landscapes that are new to us,
Watching the wildlife along the way,
Talking it over with my friends at Steve’s,
Struggling together with LBA
Together.

Now we have our smile (detection),
So much photography lies ahead
We'll find a place where there's room to shoot,
And yes, We've just begun.

For those not in the know the Kiss is the Japanese name for the 350, 400, 450, 500 etc series of Canon dSLRs. LBA is lens buying addiction and the rest should be fine.

OK, so it's not great, but then again it took less than 5 mins and hope it brings a smile

I think the reason this thread got started in the first place is because all those "experts" at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art are morons.

I could have turned out to be a great concert violinist. One reason I didn't realize that potential is that I never held a violin in my life. Lots of people could have been great photographers, but never got the chance to try it because film was expensive and took time to process, so exploring the artform was costly and time consuming. Those reasons are gone. The obstacles to people exploring their creative vision with photography are gone. I bought my first camera, a Minolta HiMatic-C, with money I received at my 15th birthday. Most of today's 15 year olds carry one camera with them wherever they go, and some have two ... or more! The artform is more accessible than it has ever been before. We have no way of knowing where those people will take photography? Who knows what Ansel Adams could have achieved if he had a Nikon D40 and a Nikkor 18-200 when he was 15?

As we started a musical conversation here, I've created a new thread just for that http://forums.steves-digicams.com/ge...ml#post1091695

Enjoy... well try to
