I hadn't made the connection but Pick Up the Pieces is one of my all time favorite Acid Jazz tracks.......... EVER!!!!! It rocks, I had so many versions of this from different bands, really not sure what it is about the track, it just works for me.

Cut the Cake never got me in the same way, not a bad track but still a different league IMHO.

Just to add, one of my fave versions on PUTP is Dufler's, this lady rocks and if you see any of her life stuff then she likes to jam.... check out this vid of a studio version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRpZb...eature=related

I've been listening to her since 'Saxuality'. Great stuff. I still have it on cassette.

AWB's debut album was in '73. How old are you?

So "AWB" just stuck with me.

How about "FTW"?

Now, it's "for the win", but it used to have a very different meaning.
I had that album - brilliant.

FTW - I only know the 'alternative' meaning

Am I not allowed to express my feelings? There are a LOT of things (some much more important) that are simply relegated to the past without the slightest thought as to impact they've made on our lives. I just made a simple observation in what I thought was a "light" thread.
