Yeah L is a serious strain of LBA, it is a very very hard impact on ones wallet.

I have CBA for compact P&S.

I have the lens bug. I've been wanting to get a dedicated macro lens lately.

Yeah the 100 2.8L is a very very good lens, I have lens envy. My regular 100 2.8 just seem lacking compare to the 100 2.8L with IS.

I suppose he could contract my wife to make him a set of L lens pajamas. She could embroider CANON MACRO LENS EF 100mm 1:2.8 L IS USM on it.

My will is weak. I just submitted an order for an EF-S 60mm F2.8 macro lens.

Only cure is to give up photography. If you are not willing to give it up. You will just have to some how learn to live with the affection.
