I would say that 100% of my pictures are perfect.

Now ask me how much I lie. About 90% I guess. So I think the figures Tcav gave you are about right for me. 1 in 40 might be a wall hanger. But a lot depends on what you are shooting. Getting that fleeting moment, like a bird shot, or an insect flying around, or that great shot of a once in a lifetime happening that is completely unexpected. For these your rate could be 1 in 400. If you have a set up to shoot like the inside of a church then you might get away with 1 in 7. It takes 7 shots to get that one if we are talking HDR. In a controlled situation like that there is no reason every shot couldnt be good. But Id sooner get an exciting picture than a good one.
