I would be very careful. They are a newer vendor, with only one review on resellerratings.com

I'm not saying that they are "scam artists", but I would personally avoid a brand new company, since you have no way of knowing if the one review on resellerratings.com was really from a satisfied customer.

Note the two reviews for them at bizrate.com here (scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see them):

http://shop.bizrate.com/ratings_guid...id--31717.html

Remember, if a price looks "too good to be true", it probably is.

I agree with Jim in that I do not order from companies with no reseller history.

It's your money.

I personally think you're making a big mistake by ordering from a vendor with only one postive feedback on resellerratings.com (from someone who has only provided one feedback), and two negative feedbacks on bizrate.com (including one who indicated that he wired the money into their account, and they claim they never received it).

This is highly suspicious.

I couldn't even find a real address for them on their site. Can you?

I would strongly advise you to buy from an established vendor, with good customer feedback.

I found some more information on Premium Photo for you. According to the Better Business Bureau, they are also known as Big Apple Photo.

There have been 32 complaints filed against them as of today. See this page (note the other business names section shows Premium Photo):

http://www.bbbnewyork.org/businessre....aspx?id=29087

Also, there is no recent history for Big Apple Photo on resellerratings.com (which is again, very suspicious).

A more established vendor typically has thousands of good customer reviews.

Also, because you live outside of the U.S., it would be very difficult for you to take action against a vendor, if you did not receive the products you paid for.

One other thing to keep in mind. Most online vendors do not stock the merchandise they offer. Instead, the order is sent to a distributor, and the product is then drop shipped from a distributor warehouse.

So, when one vendors prices is lower than anothers (especially from a vendor with a low volume of customer reviews), this is usually a sure sign that something is not right.

The industry is very competitive. So, I would avoid any vendor without a very good reputation offering lower prices.

To get better prices, a vendor should need much greater sales volume. The profit margin is not high enough to offer products at the prices you sometimes see advertised from vendors (usually, out of Brooklyn).

I have no personal experience with companies that ship outside of the U.S..

However, I have heard good things about 17th Street Photo from a customer in Canada that has ordered products from them to be shipped over the border.

They have over 5000 customer reviews on bizrate.com (note how much more active they are, with frequent reviews from customers):

http://www.bizrate.com/ratings_guide...id--30232.html

Their web site indicates that they do ship to the Netherlands (note section on International Orders:

http://www.17photo.com/support.asp

Again, I cannot personally vouch for them, so do your own research. Perhaps others will respond with suggestions, too.

I don't know if they ship outside the U.S., but this is a well-established, very real and very large store in New York City. I always end up going back to them because their prices are competitive and because they're honest and reliable:

Barbara is correct. B&H has a very good reputation. Their web site does indicate that they ship internationally. Scroll down on this page and you will see the section starting "For International Customers..."
