Don't know how much you paid for your camera but I'd wager it's over $150. I'd look at it and envision the cost of that camera going down the toilet for naught. Works for me.

That is good, going to your favorite places always gets me to shoot. I am lucky I get to go to germany at least once a month. And it always gets me wanting to shoot more. So many different to shoot there.

I would love to visit Germany. When I was in HS my mom and dad went at least once a year but my sisters and I always got left with the grandparents. I always enjoyed seeing my dad's slides when he got back.

I love it over there, I will make my perm move there in 2012. Love the food, the nature, the old world charm, and it helps that I have a house there

I just found a source for additional motivation, in case you need some.

I just joined Flickr. It has this feature where you can look at maps and see photos that have been geotagged, so you can see the photo and where it was taken. That has shown me not only how bad the people that live near me are at photography, but how bad they are at geotagging. That makes me want to fill Flickr with good photos, and to geotag them properly.
