One way to get inspired is to buy something. Doesn't have to be anything big/expensive. Get a reflector. Or a new filter. Or do something like putting plastic tableware between two circular polarizers. Or buy a new lens or camera. Shopping therapy really works.

You don't need motivation. You have plenty. Just not enough interest ti get you going. Find a local photo group and peruse their web-site/forum. Find a list of photo-spots in your town. Go there. Then go to the next one.

Simple, set a daily goal-

Resolve to take a minimum of 3 photos each and every day.

Motivation, huh? Ok, I have a friend who is a deputy sheriff just one state over from you. How about I send him over to give you a swift kick to get you started?
You could post some pictures of oil slicks, I'll bet.
I agree, it can be tough to get up the interest to go out and shoot things that are similar to what you already have a bunch of. Check out the biweekly shootout forum here for ideas.

Perhaps you just need another hobby.

While looking at your camera, start thinking about all the repairs that need to be done around the house. Doing that will give you lots of reasons to get out and take pictures.
