Default Using DC lens on film camera

Will my Sigma 18-125 f3.5/5.6 DC lens (that I use on my Sony a100) be a true 18-125 full frame lens on my 35mm Maxxum 70 film camera or not ? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the focal length doesn't change, but there will be no crop factor, so the angle of view will be a 'true' 18-125mm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the DC lenses designed for the APS size sensors? If so, you may find that on 35mm film, there will be some vignetting, and end up with a useable image about the same as on a crop camera.

The focal length doesn't change with the size of the image sensor (or film exposure.) But Sigma's DC lenses only project an image large enough to fill an APS-C image sensor. Your 18-125 will work on a film body, but there will be a lot of vignetting. The outer 3-4mm of the film exposure wil be black.
