Default fuji vs sony

i would like some opinion...if there was a choice between the fuji s7000 and the sony dsc f717 which would it be?...dilema? i was gona go with the sony, but then the fuji released this cam......help....

i don't think i can be much help but....... from what i've seen and heard i think the sony might be a better camera. i think the lens is a bit sharper. the sony from what i hear has better low light focusing and metering capabilities. the sony also swivels for hard to get angled sghots from above or below. i'm not knocking fuji (i own a s602z and like it) but think the sony 717 is a bit better. just my inexperienced 2 cents worth.

I would recommend the Fuji S7000 for the following reasons:

1. I believe picture quality is equal or better than Sony
2. S7000 can use compact flash, micro drive, or xd memory
3. 6X optical zoom and 6 mp

Either camera should produce excellent pictures.

The S7000 has a clearer EVF(235k vs. 180k of Sony) and has quicker auto focus as well.
