Default Are there likely to be DSLR deals

On Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I'm willing to wait if there are deals to be had.

Generally speaking, those "super-shopping" day only see lower cost point and shoot cameras. At most over the last 5 years we have seen fewer the 6 DSLR deals, and they were on older, already replaced models. We could be surprised, bu that has been the trend.

Like mtclimber says, there aren't a lot of deals on dSLRs on 'Black Friday', except to clear out older models from stock, and even those are rare. The specials are usually for the P&S cameras. But the money you save on that 42" HDTV could help with a dSLR purchase, however.

If you see something you like now, you will be better prepared for shooting those holiday photos, if you buy it now, than if you wait until Thanksgiving.
