Default If i get a Leica M9, can i take awesome photos?

If a newbie like me buy a Leica M9 or a dSLR camera, can i take awesome photos automatically or do i need any skill or knowledge to do it?

The leica is a manual focus lens system, so it will need some getting uses to then a dslr. But both will require you to learn a bit to get the best results.

is this a serious question or are you trolling?


to take good photographs you need some knowledge and eye for a photograph and the right tool to succeed at your artistic goal for that photo.

Can you take awesome photos with a Kodak Brownie? How about a cheap Polaroid?
No? Well, what the heck, get the Leica anyway. It could happen, and you'll look really cool carrying it around.

Yes. Of course you can take great photos with high buck equipment. And buy lots of it.

That will make the second hand market a better buy for the rest of us.

You won't get a good picture automatically for sure, you will get a clear pictures, ..., uh, wait, that can a problem too sometimes...
