Default Hmmmmmmmmm..........

I've got the hankering for some new camera gear really bad, I just can't decide what to get.

Should I get myself

A. a 1.4X teleconverter and a 2X teleconverter
B. a new Canon 7D camera body
C. a new Canon 60D camera body
D. Really go all out and get a new Canon 5D mark II camera body
E. a Canon 17-40 L series lens

That 5D mark II with 21 mega pixels sure sounds intriguing and inviting, but so do the teleconverters and the L series lens!

Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Dick

P.s.
my camera gear already consists of the following:
Canon 30D
Canon 40D
Canon 18-55 IS lens
Canon 70-200 L
Canon 400 L
Canon 430 EX flash
a set of Extension Tubes for Macro work

A couple questions:
which 70-200 lens (there are 4 different 70-200L lenses)
which 400L
Which area of your photography are you wanting to improve in?

John,
the 70-200 L is an f4 non IS and the 400L is an F5.6. non IS. I love them both and have had fantastic results with them.

I can hand hold either lens even in a darkened auditorium, so I personally feel that those lenses are quite adequate for me.

I want all my photography to improve! I mostly do Outdoor photography.

The 1.4 and 2X TCs wont work well with anything you have so you can strike those off the list.
Between the 2 camera bodies listed it would depend on what you shoot the most of. If still life, potraits, landscapes then the 5DII, if its moving and you need more FPS the 7D.

Another vote for the 7D.

With a big upgrade to the kit lens:

Either the 17-55 IS f2.8 or the 15-85 IS.
