How is the Transend CF cards? Have been thinking about getting some for my 50D. I have a Sandisk Extreme UDMA CF 60mb/s 32gb card now, and want something near that class but cheaper.

Anyone compared any of the Transend cards to the Sandisk extreme III?

Best regards/Daniel

The transcend CF are good, just as reliable as sandisk. We use all the major brands at work.

Thanks Shoturtle. How is the speed compared to Sandisk? Is it enough to shoot series with the 50D? Is it the Transcend CF 32gb 133x you mean?

Best regards/Daniel

you can get much faster cards, 600x with the udma. They are a pretty darn fast card, faster then any sdhc or sdxc card available by allot.

Okay! Interesting. Might be worth trying. Another card I have concidered is the Sandisk CF Ultra 30 mb/s. Would that be a better choice than the Transcend you think?

Thanks for the link.

I just had a Lexar Professional 8GB Class 6 SDHC card shed it's write protect slide.

It's too expensive to throw away and too small to be a door stop.

Yea I picked one of these up. However, you guys should note that it isn't actually up to the class 10 standard. (google for more info) Still a lot faster than a basic sandisk card and only a buck or two more.

Yeah, the is a good workhorse card. Not as fast as the new 45mb/s or faster ones. But I would go with a 500x or 600x is you are going to take full advantage of the 6.3fps of the 50d. It will give you more shots before shutter lag
