Boy, I don't know about that one. 4$ for a lithium-ion battery seems way too low. I think I'd rather buy a Canon battery and know that it won't fail at the worst moment. It's up to you though.

it costs like 40 bucks usually.

there are quite a bit of places selling for around $350-$375 US dollars... for the Canon S400.

I think it may still be available for $359 @ Circuit City (online price)

A friend of mine told me about the $4 batteries. He has been using them for a long time in his S100. They work as good or better than the Canon supplied original. $4 for 1000 mAh, or $40 for 860 mAh. Your choice.

I ordered two of them and a camcorder battery that is 4X the mAh rating of the stock one.
