Not quite my first (trying to remember the model number actually), but this is the second camera Steve himself gave me.

My first was some HP Photosmart 2.1 megapixel piece of junk. Worked for about a week before it died. I only wanted a camera to supplement my Nikon F80. I then got hung up in the megapixel/escalating quality ride. I got a Canon Elph, the s100 i think, then an S200, then a Minolta Dimage. I got my first sony a DSC-P93, next up was a DSC-V3, then an H1 which I only had for a short time before finally getting my Nikon D50.

The first digital I actually owned was the weatherproof 2mp Kodak DC5000 circa 2002. I had used other digital cameras before such as the Logitec 100, Kodaks DC20, 50 and 120 due to my work.

My first digital camera was a Sony F717. I'd still be using it if the EV/LCD hadn't developed problems, quality was really good and with 5 MP it did all I wanted (except I wanted wanted a longer telephoto). Would have saved me a whole lot of money if it were still working!

I had used a couple 3MP Kodak digicams, but my first purchase of a digital camera was a Minolta Dimage 7hi. It still works, and I and my wife still use it. (finally got her interested enough to try). The 2/3 inch sensor is a pretty good compromise for compactness and creative capability.

My first digital camera and I can't remember the model was in 2000 and it had a 64 picture internal memory only, which made 333kb sized images (I can't remember the name brand but it started with an A and haven't seen anything with that brand name in a long time). Then in 2001 or 2002 I got the Panasonic 1.3MP Superdisc camera (120MB floppy discs as media) which was the first camera I could actually use without issues. The other camera had loads of issues with it......... The 120MB floppy disc came in handy as I could shoot 20 or so images without needing another disc or having to switch discs in the middle of something. It also had a 3x zoom.

How cameras have changed.... Its 2011 and my camera is the HS10 with 30x zoom, 16GB memory card.
