Default Sigma 30MM + Lens hood + UV filter?

I currently have a Sony A55. I want to invest more money and time into photography, so I'm buying my first actually good lens. I am buying the Sigma f/1.4 30mm lens. However I am a big believer in lens hoods, but I also want to buy a UV filter for outdoor shooting. Does anyone know if I'd be able to use the Sigma lens hood with a UV filter? I guess I'm asking what does the UV filter mount onto?

Thanks!!

Yes you can use a UV on the sig. I is not wide enough on a crop that you will get vig issues. The hood mounts to the outer thread, the filter mounts to the inner thread. Go with a B+W MRC or a Tiffen HT or a Hoya super hmc if you get one, don't go cheap.

Ok cool then. Thank you for the reply. I'm excited to get this lens. I've been using only kit lens since I've had a DSLR.
