Default Ricoh buys Pentax?

I just saw this and have not seen it on any forum at Steve's. Don't know if it's true or not.

There's some discussion of this on the Pentax dSLR board. It's official, now will the deal close in October? My thought is probably but there's always the possibility that someone/something could throw a spanner in the works. Is it a bad or a good thing? Only time will tell. It sounds like a positive to me, but who knows.

I've got quite a bit invested in Pentax lenses so I'm hoping that it will be a success, and I also think there's a good possibility it will be. But there's no guarantees at this point.

Didn't Ricoh partner with Pentax on some things a while ago? Didn't Ricoh SLRs use the Pentax lens mount at one time? Don't Ricoh P&S cameras use Samsung sensors just like Pentax P&S cameras? All of those make me think that this will be a good fit.

Pentax partnered with Samsung for dSLR stuff a while ago - don't know about the p&s side of things. Back in the days of film cameras Ricoh used the K-Mount for their SLR cameras, there are those who still use Ricoh lenses on their dSLR cameras.
