Default Help pls

I just bought the nikon s4000 yesterday, it was on clearance and I was like why not have another small camera to take around. I took about 10 pictures with it today and all of a sudden the darn lens wont retract at all. I have tried: taking the battery out, leaving the battery out for hrs, charging it and nothing is working. any advice?
Thank you all

I dont want to send it off to Nikon, cause at the moment I am in Japan.

If your still near the shop you bought it in take it back, clearance or not, it has to be fit for purpose.

Get it exchanged or choose something different.

Good luck

The only option is take in for repair

If your in Japan for a while can you take it in under 'international warranty' and try and have it repaired / replaced quickly?

Hope this works for you
