Default External Hard Disk USB, memory card reader

Hello

Would somebody have tested Ext HD for recording jpg's with memory cards ?

Such as for example ext hard disks USB 2 :

Vosonic X Drive 20 30 or 40 Go or more
Phototainer 20 Go (Innoplus)
Archos
Image Tank

Or CD writers with memory card reader

Steno Disc
(There is another one but I forgot his name!)

Your opinions are welcome

I have the Addtronics MFR, you can burn a CD from you memory card. It is a stand alone CD burner or you can attach it to your computer. It will also play DVD. It is has Lion rechargeable battery. The unit works very well.

FYI...

I currently back up my dig photos to an Iomega HDD 80 Gig USB external drive which I backup weekly and store the drive offsite
away from my home.

It works relatively well on a Win ME desktop and an XP laptop
but occasionally vexes me when the drive is unreadable until
I "tweak" the computer.

Any backup, however, is better than no backup.
