Default O/T Is it cold in New York?

I saw on the news this morning that it is freezing in New York? How are you New Yorkers coping with the low temperatures? We have been lucky so far in the UK, we have had a mild winter, but with plenty of rain!

We need the rain though to fill up the water reservoirs, a drought is forecast for the Summer. Regards, John.

New York State has been the same as Vermont. Schools were closed yesterday because of the up-to-50-below wind chills and because of water problems. I went out a couple of days ago, and in the quick process of clearing snow off my car and in spite of wearing gloves, my fingertips got so cold that the pain stunned me. We'll be having a heat wave today. Temps possibly hitting the 20-degree mark.

Tell me about it. I got a new G5 two weeks ago and it has been too cold to go out and take some test pics.

When I first learned to ride a two-wheeler, it rained buckets for the next three days. I still remember the awfulness of it, and I'll bet the little kid in you is suffering something similar.

What did you learn to ride on a Honda Goldwing?
I am thinking about hoping on a flight to find some sunny warm weather so i can try out my new camera.

Hush. This is a Harley family. 8)

I've been thinking about the Southwest a lot in the past few days. Hot dust. Doesn't that sound nice?

Apparently a lot of folks have been thinking southeast too. Where I live here in the Tampa Bay area I can see the planes coming and going from Tampa International and the St Pete-Clearwater airports and the planes have been non-stop for weeks. It has gotten cold here too with a few nights in the mid-30's but getting back up to the 60's or low 70's in the day. But no frostbite problems

Steve, it's supposed to rain down there tomorrow, or so reports my cousin in Ft. Myers. (She hurried out to buy groceries today because of it. )

Well, those of us that live here don't worry about rain unless it's the frozen kind. When it rains we usually only have to wait an hour and it goes away, except during tropical storms
