Default Pentax K5 conv.

Hello folks,
I am looking at the Pentax K5 which has some very nice features and build quality.
Does anyone here know if it could be converted to use my Sony A mount lenses?

Thanks

I don't think you're going to have much luck with that. Sony's A-Mount has a mount to focal plane distance of 44.5 mm, while Pantax' K-Mount's is 45.46 mm. Even if you could mount your A-Mount lenses on the K5, they wouldn't focus at infinity. On top of that, the electrical contacts and AF motor drive screw are in different locations, so they'd be manual focus and manual exposure, and most (if not all) A-Mount lenses don't have aperture rings.

Buying into an interchangeable lens camera system is a lot like getting divorced: It's going to cost you a lot of pain and money to dump one system and start another. Other than 4/3 and micro 4/3, current camera systems are brand specific and not interchangeable.
